**Note** Victory Shots lost 5 win points for not attending the CPB meeting and not having a written proxy from the captain for the person registering the team.

Per By-Laws Article 9.08 "Attendance of the CPB meetings is MANDATORY for Team Captains or representing team member. If represented by a non-team member, a written proxy from the Team Captain must be provided when registering at the CPB meeting. Failure to attend a CPB meeting WILL result in forfeiture of five (5) WIN points in the following league season."

RE: Penality Points/Victory Shots
FWDA Ruling

February 11, 2008

On Sunday, February 10, 2008, the FWDA ruled in favor of not penalizing the Tuesday "B" team: Victory Shots for not personally appearing at CPB and allowing the signature of Paul Well's, owner of Black Gold, to stand as he signed in on behalf of Rusty Holder, Team Captain of Victory Shots due to an emergency hospitalization which resulted in surgery.

It is the final decision of the FWDA Board of Directors to reverse the penalty that was assessed by the Tuesday Division Secretary. The team will not be assessed this penalty, as it has been ruled he was represented at the CPB Meeting by his Pub Owner and of which Paul's signature was accepted to represent him at that meeting!

Please forward this on to any teams questioning this issue!

Connie...Have you received all the add/drop sheets that I am showing on the add/drop worksheet? Do you have dart numbers for the two I am missing?

**NOTE** FYI - To qualify as the singles champion a player must play in at least 10 games by the end of the schedule. Ryan James and Jimmy Noto would be at the top of the list, but they have not played in at least 7 games to this point. All players with at least 5 games played to this point can still qualify as the singles champion, but all players with less than 5 games played at this point will not qualify.

LOL, sorry for the confusion, the teams made arrangements to play early around the soft-tip week long vegas tourney. Very gentlemen like for all 4 teams to agree, they did, they played, and Happy Hour Heros plays Victory Shots on Sunday at 3 pm at Black Gold. Both teams tied exactly for 1st place, This should be a very exciting match!

this fuc_ed up. how does a team have the balls to forfeit a playoff match and how does the President let this happen. shouldnt the next team below Low balls play so that at least there is a MATCH so that is not just given away. really bad taste by low balls

I totally agree. I think if a team forefits and doesn't want to participate in playoffs the team that is one place out of playoffs should get the option to play in their place. Lets face it they are probably upset that they just missed playoffs and would jump at the chance to play.

The situation in this case was the Low Balls Captain had a LOT of his players heading to the San Angelo tourney and couldn't scrape enough to even play. He did admit that he failed to look at the upcoming schedule properly and tell his players and took full responsibility for the FUBAR. Wasn't a case of them not wanting to play I assure you. Although I do agree something should be set in place by the FWDA to allow the "next in line" team to play in that case. However, let's say the "stand in" team ends up winning the whole enchilada.....now you'll have people bitching that they didn't even belong there, blah, blah, blah. Can't please everyone I guess. I would have liked to see some sort of match played however, personally.

If you ask me, the name Chick N Tenders is fitting for a team that would opt to accept a win by forfeit instead of re-scheduling the match like the Low Balls requested. As previously mentioned, the San Angelo tourney often times conflicts with our playoffs and I see nothing wrong with any of our members choosing to participate in such a tournament. In fact, on the plus side, them doing so provides a good FWDA representation at out of town tourneys.

With that said, instead of giving the low balls sh_t for forfeiting, try asking the Chicken Sh_tters why they were too "chicken" to reschedule the match for a later time. Chances are they were just glad to get a guaranteed win!

MORAL TO THE STORY: "Never buy a fat, yellow chicken!"
