Thanks to all of the Dart Players & FWDA members who supported this effort in helping out our players bound for Nationals in June down in Houston. The tournament was a success and each player who participated received $168 to help with their expenses while representing our ADO Area 3-2 and our association.

Thanks so much for Shuckers and their generosity! They continue to support and give without question. It is awesome that they welcome us with open arms time & time again. Unfortunately, I had to work but I heard the food was awesome and the briskets that "C" donated and cooked herself were really good! Thank You so much "C".

Sadly this event was plagued with turmoil and had a rough start. We pulled it together because it is important to overcome the petty nonsense and work together as a team. The players were very appreciative for the outcome and grateful for the extra cash!

I strongly believe that every player from our Area-3-2: DDA, FWDA, MDA, Denton should all be supported by our efforts combined with those of their own. The point of it being is that the group going to the National event is made up of players from all of our area, we are all friends, we play darts together, and when they travel to the National...they are a team and they support each other during the events of the weekend. It is awesome that we are starting to realize this.

Our Board, me personally, and our FWDA was brutally criticized over all this. It was pretty frustrating to read all the negative bs...So much so, I nearly canceled it and said screw it. But our board members. stepped out of the box, and reminded me of the good that would come and the players would appreciate our efforts.

This event was important, to me they all are, just as every player is, not just our own, but every National event and every player. It shouldn't be expected. Lots of bad publicity was slung, shitty things were said and the FWDA was treated pretty badly...the money was raised, and the last time I checked, we are the only ones who have ever done anything for the ADO National bound players! The other Associations don't go to the trouble and hassle with events for the players...BUT WE DO!!! WE CARE! I wanted us to be involved because I wanted it to continue 4 times a year for all the players!

Running the Association is a Thank less job. Sometimes, it would be nice to not have the criticism and hateful back stabbing. I know what I have given to the FWDA for over 11 years, the countless hours I've given unconditionally...for what? Certainly not to take the harassment and bs but To keep our leagues successful and fun and thriving because I believe in my players, and my teams, and our ASSOCIATION.

I might not do things the way you would or how you want them but I am still here donating my time! Where are all of you? What have you given to our Association? How much have you given back to the FWDA? How many years have you sat on the board or been a DS for came and helped set up or tear down?

I don't do this for me, I don't get anything for it, no special treatment, no hidden agenda, nothing to gain, but a headache!

I do this because I have a passion for darts, the association, our leagues, our players, and I try really hard to not let us get stagnate and boring, finding ways to give back to our players, our bars, because I BELIEVE IN THE TEAM! So please step up to the plate and give something back not just when you need something from us!!!

Good Luck Davis, Mike, Chris, Andrea, & Mandy!

PS Also, a big Thanks to Suzie Hall for her hard work and huge effort selling raffle tickets at the NTSO, all on her own, because she also believes! Thanks Suzie! Your efforts helped Chris and Mandy with the out of pocket expense it cost each of them...they are both going to their first National!

Thanks Erik for helping me see the bright side because you were right! It is and was a good thing!
